Camellias are ofter though of as growing only in southern gardens, but some hardy varieties suitable for northern gardens have been developed. Four of them, Winter Star, Winter Interlude, Polar Ice, and Winter's Charm, are discussed. Tips on care, and sources for the hardy camellias are given.
