Home fried: a carpenter's advice on working in the searing summer heat without harming your house or yourself

Article Abstract:

Working in the heat can lead to heat exhaustion, dehydration, or heat stroke, all dangerous and potentially deadly conditions. Do-it-yourselfers are advised not to paint surfaces hotter than 85 degrees. Asphalt roofs should also be avoided. Frequent water consumption is recommended.
