Invest in IPM
Article Abstract:
Many scientists feel gardeners can best control insects and disease with integrated pest management (IPM). This system minimizes the use of pesticides while using a combined physical, cultural, and biological approach to keep gardens healthy and productive. Checking for pests frequently and using multiple, non-toxic interventions will increase a gardener's awareness of a garden's interlocking ecosystems.
