Article Abstract:
House paint containing lead was outlawed in 1987, but ground near these houses can be contaminated with lead. Soil can be tested and conditioned to reduce the hazard. Fruiting crops, such as tomatoes, contain less lead than roots and greens when grown in the same soil.

EPA takes an OG kinda turn

The EPA has altered its warnings about pesticide use, stating to consumers that even the use of legal pesticides may cause health and environmental problems. The agency is also working to make it easier to purchase less toxic products.
