Reflection of Two Worlds: A Korean American Heritage-Metalwork by Komelia Hongja Okim is held at Graphics Arts Gallery, Honolulu Academy of Arts exhibits sculpture, hollowware and figurative. Many of the pieces were worked in kum-boo, a technique described in this exhibition.

World Turnout

Experiences at the World Turning Conference, an international convention of engravers, are presented. Artists such as wood workers, metal spinners and potters gave demonstrations of the ancient craft of turning a lathe. Exhibitions of various artists are discussed.
