Article Abstract:
The Texas Agricultural Extension Service Don't Bag It program provides participants with instructions on how to recycle grass clippings to reduce the amount of grass clippings in landfills. The program is effective even for thicker Bermuda and Zoysia lawns if instructions are carefully followed.

Starflowers are smaller types of bulb plants which can be planted as borders in combinations with flowers such as dwarf narcissus and pink oxalis. The bulbs should be planted in groups of 20 in two inches of well-drained soil. The leaves are known to produce a garlic odor when crushed.

Soil aeration is important in lawn maintenance as oxygen is made available to soil microorganisms that sustain the grass. At about $50 a day, three lawns can be properly aerated using a rented core aerator. However, beginners must use the machine slowly and only in a straight course.
