Leucothoes
Article Abstract:
Leucothoes is an unusual genus of shrubs that includes approximately 50 species that have shiny, evergreen foliage and bear clustered racemes of white or pinkish flowers that droop from the leaf axils-the point where the leaves joint the stem-in late spring to early summer. Leucothoes grow best in part to patches of different color shades and thrive consistently moist but well-drained, humus-laden, acidic soil.
