Rinker on collectibles: Market correction or desperation?

The antiques and collectibles market is slow to adjust to changing price situations. As the prices are decreasing, the best advice to the dealers is that they should replace old price stickers with new one, rather than using 'discount sale' approach.

Lids from small containers were found in England beginning around 1840. The golden age of US pot lids lasted from the late 1840s through the 1880s. Prices for selected pot lids are given.
