Love of the Lowcountry

Article Abstract:

The ACE Basin Task Force started in 1988 hopes to preserve the traditional ways of life on this land, which is located in the South Carolina Lowcountry. People come to this refuge for special events such as an annual fall hunt sponsored by the South Carolina Disabled Sportsmen where they get to fish, bird, study nature and also gain new respect for the relationship of land, humanity and wildlife.

The Eastern Shore of Maryland offers weekend tourists several entertaining options, from dining and cultural shows to wildlife watching. Among the places to visit are Berlin, Snow Hill, Salisbury, Cambridge, Oxford and Grasonville. Lodging and dining rates at selected places are included.

Enjoyable vacations can be spent in South Carolina, where several historical and recreational sites abound. Among places to visit are Charleston, Caesar's Head State Park and Piedmont. The Blue Ridge Mountains, sandhills and the coastal plain offer spectacular scenery.
