Make room for the caddy
Article Abstract:
An estimate of more than one million houses built in the United States in 2003, 93% included a one-, two-, or three-car garage (U.S. Bureau of the Census), and that percentage has remained fairly stable for the past five years. There are growing concerns for the builders and contractors to understand how to minimize the risk of CO poisoning as the pollutants are drawn directly into the house from the near-by garage.

Creating heat and light
Article Abstract:
Combined heat and power (CHP), which jointly produces heat and electricity from a single fuel source, can be up to 90% efficient compared with conventional US power production, which converts only 35% fuel energy into delivered electricity. This technology has high potential because CHPs can decrease energy costs and increase fuel use efficiency.
