Native Seeds/ SEARCH (Southwestern Endangered Aridland Resource Clearinghouse), a seed saving organization helps to preserve indigenous cultural and dietary practices and agricultural traditions in the aridland of American Southwest and Mexico. It collects, propagate and redistribute southwest's diverse traditional crops.

People with physical, mental, and emotional needs, are helped through horticultural therapy programs. Moody gardens, Brookwood Community and Mariner Health are the three horticultural organizations, that carry out therapy programs used in and around Houston, Texas.
