Mark Peiser: looking within

Article Abstract:

Mark Peiser, a Chicago born artist, is engaged from almost four decades in an exploration of glass in which the technical and creative aspects are intimately connected. He was a pioneer in formulating and melting his own glass and the formula, which resulted in a translucent opal, is the most luscious effects he has produced.

Sculptural Radiance: The Jewelry and Objects of Linda MacNeil is held at Mint Museum of Craft + Design, Charlotte, NC presents Linda's work. In her work, even plate glass, a hallmark of modern architecture, assumes the aura surrounding the medium when glass technology was in its infancy.
