Mark Weinstock: he has spread the word from Tokyo to Santa Fe, from Phoenix to New York: leather is not just for wearing

Weinstock was inspired into creating leather pieces, such as leather desk blotters, wall pieces and bowls, by humanity's innate link to this material. As a teenager working for Fortunoff's leather division, Weinstock began to explore the possibilities of using leather as an art material.
