Meet your midwest testers: a couple of seed savers show how to have a great garden in the Heartland
Article Abstract:
Tjepkema and Cavagnaro describe the features of the climates they have to deal with. Iowa means cold weather, but Cavagnaro puts cabbage family members in a root cellar to be harvested all winter long. Tjepkema grows many early-maturing varieties to escape the cold. Both are seed-savers.
