Mote spoons
Article Abstract:
Mote spoons, or mote skimmers, were used to remove tea leaves or tea dust from a cup of tea. They were popular in the 17th and 18th centuries as part of a tea service, but fell out of use when processed tea in bags emerged. They have been found in small, medium and very large sizes.
