My windfall garden

Article Abstract:

A garden designer's experiences with gardens in Santa Monica are described. The art of garden design, including planting, remodeling, and fencing, is presented. Among the joys of garden designing are growing outdoor plants and low growing perennials like dead nettle, lady's mantle, and liriope.

Waiting for the snow to melt

Article Abstract:

A gardener eagerly awaits the end of winter, when she will see her perennials again, and experience the feel and smell of working with soil. She dislikes the winter but experiences the progress of her indoor plants as evidence that spring is near.
