NATURE'S DESIGN
Article Abstract:
Gardens vary from region to region as some areas are more susceptible to wonderful natural sprawl than others that take more time and effort to maintain. A gardener shares his views on the beautiful display of flowers on hillsides he encountered while moving into Indiana from Pennsylvania and how plants and flowers react to different environments. Advice is given on how to start a natural and flowing garden in a small space and the flowers and plants to use that will be most effective.

Apple picking tips
Article Abstract:
Fall is the best time for harvesting apples. What is required is a harvest bucket lined with foam and a rope-release canvas bottom. It should be able to handle no more than a half-bushel. It is important to gather fallen apples first to prevent codling moth larvae from spreading in the orchard.
