Article Abstract:
Mole crickets, kin to house and field crickets, are adapted for burrowing as much as two feet underground. They eat the roots of turfgrass, other insects and dead plant matter. Some species are pests, burrowing under gardens to eat the roots of vegetables. Control is by nematode applications.
