Pumpkin alley

Many of the residents of Gloucester Avenue in Middlesboro, KY, turn their street into Pumpkin Alley for Halloween. They jointly purchase large quantities of pumpkins from local farmers, with each home taking between 100 and 200. Many community groups are involved in cleaning and carving the pumpkins.

The red trumpet honeysuckle appears on the woody vines producing bright clusters of coral blooms every spring. The red trumpet honeysuckle, a favorite food of the hummingbirds, has a late blooming season that starts in late spring and continues sporadically throughout the summer.
