Reviving a pioneer
Article Abstract:
American architect Alexander Jackson Davis introduced innovative concepts in architecture and promoted the Gothic revival villa in the 1830s to 1860s. Although his work became unfashionable by the 1890s, his influence on American architecture is evident in contemporary American design.
