Revolutionary roots: a founding father's garden flourishes in downtown Annapolis
Article Abstract:
Paca's garden, a pre-Revolutionary War one, was buried under a hotel in the 1990s. In the 60s, the garden was unearthed and its restoration began. The two-acre garden has a design that modern gardeners can emulate. Details of the restoration of the grounds for which no plans were found, are recounted.

The Japanese honeysuckle was introduced in the western hemisphere from eastern Asia in 1806. It grows quickly and can smother large trees, causing some individuals to consider it a weed. It can grow 30 feet in one year. Japanese honeysuckle is hard to control.
