Rain lilies are smart and thrive in hot-humid or dry environments that are not hospitable to true garden lilies. It is suggested that the best time to feed them is in early fall or early spring that allows them to settle in and establish roots before flowering, and ensure that the weight of the flower doesn't cause the bulb to tip over.
