Science shows that organic soil really helps plants deter pests
Article Abstract:
Phelan and other colleagues have found why corn borers attack plants with chemical fertilizers more frequently than those grown organically. The organical grown plants having good mineral balance quickly convert sugars into complete carbohydrates which are less attractive to the pests.

The Rodale Working Tree Center: making trees work for you
