The executive producer and director of the magazine 'This Old House' believes that moving, building and rebuilding is in his genes as his father and his grandfather were builders. Renovating a house means improving it and increasing its face value without paying much money and this feeling is responsible for making him take up the career of renovation, gardening and craftsmanship.

The style of the new, 1,315-square-foot home would be a classic Rockies upside-down house with main living quarters on the second floor, high above winter snow that typically rises above first-story windows.
