Good soil is job #1

It is vital to ensure that a garden has good soil if plants are to flourish. When ordering topsoil, care should be taken to avoid soil containing rocks, clay and branches. Topsoil should be augmented with organic matter such as sphagnum peat moss or composted manure.

Snowflakes in summer? No way

Article Abstract:

Summer snowflake is a bulb variety that Southerners have traditionally grown. Suitable under fertile, drained soil, these bulbs bloom during late winter and early spring. Snowflakes can also grow as high as 12 inches.
