Soil solarization: sun and clear plastic are all you need to rid ground of pests and weeds
Article Abstract:
Soil solarization, a process developed by the Israelis in the 1970s, is a process which traps radiant energy. Clear plastic sheets are placed tightly over cultivated and pre-moistened soil beds. It takes about four to eight weeks before pests and weeds are destroyed.
