Spring serendipities

A gardener recounts her experiences with the process of gardening and her satisfaction with the garden's annual springtime rebirth. Over the years she has learned which plants do well in her western garden, yet she is still always surprised at what spring will uncover. Spending time in the garden gives her life a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

A gardener recounts her experiences planning a garden with her husband and the conflicts that stemmed from their different landscaping visions. The couple decided to compromise and create a half flower and half rock garden. The garden now grows as a testimony to the couple's ability to be flexible and accommodate each other's needs.
