The owners of a private home in Jackson, Mississippi describe about their plans on designing their garden even before they planned the house. A detailed landscape plan, incorporating the garden, walkways and the view from the inside of the house, was even instrumental in the repositioning of the breakfast room for a better view.

One of the health benefits of gardening presented is that gardening keeps away depression by promoting interest and enthusiasm.
