The Wood Turning Center
Article Abstract:
The Wood Turning Center, in Philadelphia's Old City district, was found in 1986 in response to the success of an unprecedented series of symposia on lathe art held in Philadelphia between 1976 and 1981. The Wood Turning Center has played a critical role in the development of physical and ideological development by supporting lathe-turned art through education, collections, preservation and promotion along with American Association of Woodturners and the Collectors of Wood Art.
