The legacy of Stratford Hall
Article Abstract:
Stratford Hall is one of many historic, colonial houses in Stratford, VA. It was built by Thomas Lee in the 1730s and remained the abode of his descendants until about 1807. The hall was opened to the public in 1929 and houses furnishings reminiscent of early American colonial life.

Congaree swamp after Hugo
Article Abstract:
Congaree Swamp in South Carolina is more brightly lit by sunlight and has less obstructions than it did prior to when it was hit by Hurrican Hugo in 1989. Both water and walking tours are available through River Runner Outdoor Center in West Columbia.
