Daylilies are probably the hardiest yet easiest to grow perennials. They bloom on sun-baked soil and abandoned sites and can be transplanted even at the height of summer. Old blooms and flower stems as well as leaves or mulch around the base should be removed to guarantee minimal transplant shock.

Several tips on how to make tomato plants healthy and productive are discussed. Tomato plants should be checked daily, and watered with a soaker hose or a drip irrigation system. Mulching is good for the plants but excess fertilizer may kill them.
