The 14-award winning wineries on the both sides of Missouri river are described and the spacious tasting room and gift shop at Mount Pleasant is mentioned where more than 30 different wines are offered to visitors to sample. Visitors can take a guided tour of the winery's cellars and see first-hand on how wines and sparkling wines are made and aged.

Dream garden

A farmhouse outside Blue Eye, Missouri is home to the Long Creek Herb Farm where one can get four hundred types of herbs from India to Indonesia as well as those that were used during the Civil War. A gift-shop sells dream pillows mixed with different herbs and the owner claims that they interact with the brain so that one gets restful sleep.

Mama's peas
Article Abstract:
One man's grandmother raised a legendary pea known as Mama Nordan peas, which were very flavorful and stayed greed after cooking. Somewhere along the line, the heirloom seeds were used and no replacements were preserved. A similar seed was found, and now the man must protect his pea crop from persistent deer.
