Hand scrapers are an inexpensive and more versatile alternative to a belt sander. Scrapers can be used to smooth glued joints, level varnish or shellac and remove glue marks. A hand scraper and the Stanley No. 80 cabinet scraper are described. Sharpening and usage instructions are included.
