Water-filter pitchers offer low-cost convenience
Article Abstract:
The use of home water-treatment devices has risen from 27% in 1995 to 32% in 1997, says a report by the National Consumer Water Quality Survey. The survey notes that water-filter pitchers posted the most gains, and experts in water-quality attribute this to convenience and price. Typical retail prices for the pitchers range between $20 and $30.
