Article Abstract:
Gardeners should consider factors such as resistance to disease and hardiness when buying new vegetable varieties. Some of the new varieties for 1996 are a hybrid beet called 'Chicago Red,' a perennial broccoli called 'Nine Star' and a greasy bean called 'Prestige Salad.'
