Berkline splits marketing, msdg. group
Article Abstract:
Berkline, a manufacturer of motion upholstery and recliner, has divided its marketing and merchandising arm into two separate divisions. The move, which is designed to allow both units to have better focus, created five new positions. Larry Smith was promoted to vice president of marketing, responsible for the overall marketing activities of Berkline, from vice president of marketing for reclining upholstery. Brian Eihorn, who was most recently vice president of national account development, was appointed vice president and and general merchandising manager. The three other new executives appointed by Berkline include Bruce Sinning as merchandising vice president of reclining upholstery, Martha Shafer as director of merchandising for upholstery, lifestyle, easy chair and country traditional, and Norma Wykle as senior manager of fabric and fashion.
