Calico boosts uph. effort
Article Abstract:
Calico Corners, a Kenneth Square, PA-based specialty retailer of decorative fabric, has launched its first upholstered furniture-only catalog. The 18-page catalog, recently mailed to existing customers and prospects, featured photos of many upholstery frames with simple muslin covers. Store brand and manufactures were not identified in the catalog, which also showed prices in the upper-medium range. Calico launched the catalog to boost the sales of its custom upholstered furniture and to give the firm a competitive advantage over rivals in the industry.
