Mark and Lorraine Harbold designed and constructed their new house which looks like an 18th century Connecticut original saltbox house. The couple, who spent three years researching and searching for furnitures that will fit the house, were able to stay close to their budget of below $100 per sq. ft.

Celebrating Bartram's 300th

The John Bartram Assn has planned a series of events to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Bartram's birth. Bartram was a Pennsylvania Quaker who roamed the American continent on horseback to gather plants and bring them back home. He is credited with the discovery and propagation of over 200 plants.

A masterpiece recreated
Article Abstract:
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation bought an 18th century dower chest during a public auction for $343,500 and had it reproduced by Ken Heiser and its product marketing staff. The result was a marvelous replica of the original which was duplicated down to the last tiny pegs.
