Comfort Seating off to a strong start
Article Abstract:
Flexsteel, an upholstery manufacturer, has seen its Comfort Seating program take off among retailers since its introduction in March 1996. Seven retailers have agreed to open a Comfort Seating showroom, with three of them agreeing to open free-standing stores. Flexsteel plans to open six more stores by the end of 1998, said Chip Piekenbrock, director of retail development. The company plans to convince other retailers, particularly those in the Phoenix, AZ, area, through testimonials of existing dealers. Comfort Seating typically occupies at least 6,500 sq ft and displays a comprehensive collection of Flexsteel product categories, from stationary, motion and accent chairs to imported tables.
