English lustreware
Article Abstract:
Lustreware comes in metallic glazes of colored silver, copper, pink and purple. These ceramic forms enjoyed wide popularity from 1810 to around 1870, and spread from within the Staffordshire district to other potteries in the UK. Treatments can either be mere accents or all-over applications.

The female Peales: a portrait of the artists
Article Abstract:
The Peale family of Philadelphia, PA, produced three of the top women artists of the 19th century. Sarah Miriam, Anna Margaretta, and Anna Claypoole Peale were known for their self-portraits, still lifes, portraits of political and social figures, and miniatures.
