This retailer is taking a new approach to furniture retailing. Smaller stores will be the new wave, no new gallery will exceed 9,000 sq. ft. The company is creating a flexible system of moveable walls, photographs of furniture suites, video tapes and theater areas to show slides of products. Computers will link every dealer to corporate headquarters. More specially trained sales personnel to anticipate the consumer's needs will be used.
