Federated to 'reinvent' home business
Article Abstract:
A report on the plans of Federated Department Stores, to make upto 70% of changes in their home furnishings business under the name of Macy's Home Store banner, to alter several years of slump in the sales of home products is presented. The addition of 'Macy's' to the five non-Bloomingdale divisions of Federated, to bring about a more central buying and merchandising approach and their other strategies to increase sales are also detailed.
