John Demos, a historian of early America and his wife Virginia Demos who had worked as Erikson Scholar were on a look out for an old house with real history. An old farmhouse built in 18th century having a massive fireplace and built with locally made bricks in an obscure valley of Massachusetts, which was filled with history, met 100 percent of their requirement.
