Hooker exits antidumping group; five others join
Article Abstract:
Five other companies have joined the American Manufacturers Committee for Legal Trade, which is seeking duties on Chinese wood bedroom furniture through a petition with the U.S. Department of Commerce and International Trade, but Hooker, which is one of the top twenty-five manufacturers, has decided to withdraw from the group. The petition may adversely affect the relations of Hooker with the customers, thus forcing Hooker to withdraw from the group of petitioners and opt for a neutral stance.
