J. Jill catalog testing furniture
Article Abstract:
J. Jill, one of two apparel catalogs of Hingham, MA-based D. M. Management, unveiled its J. Jill Homewear collection in October 1998. The assortment was dubbed as a test to determine its customer targets, merchandise mix as well as other elements of catalog merchandising, said the firm's executive vice president for merchandising Patricia Lee. It included several pieces of furniture in a 25-page section at the back of the apparel catalog. The catalog specializes in affluent and active women, aged 35 and older offering relaxed career to comfortable lifestyle apparel.
