Joan Fabrics completes Mastercraft buy

Joan Fabrics has completed the acquisition of the former Mastercraft Group from Collins & Aikman. The company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Joan Fabrics and will be known as Mastercraft Fabrics LLC. The company will remain separate and will be led by president Harry Schoen. The acquisition bolsters Joan Fabrics' hold on the top spot in the fabrics business, with sales of around $500 million a year.
