Kincaid opens 1st store
Article Abstract:
Kincaid Home Furnishings opened its first shop in November 1998 in Latham, NY, with the aim to profit from the Northeast's preference for solid wood furniture. Aside from case goods, the 100,000-sq-ft, stand-alone store is also offering occasional furniture, a 12-frame line of all-leather upholstery made by Leisure House of Randleman, NC, and bedding manufactured by Serta. Kincaid organized the Latham store according to lifestyle, including the Elegant Expressions section for furnitures with traditional patterns; Casual Lifestyles for Shaker, country and casual oak looks; and Solid Solutions for home office furnitures. The store also features displays for casual dining, home office and the Ducks Unlimited collection.
