Free mattress popular
Article Abstract:
The Bedroom Superstore has been amply rewarded by sticking to its retail strategies and concepts. Since its inception in 1992, the 32-store chain has been giving away a complete mattress and box springs with every purchase of a four-piece bedroom suite. The promotion has been a success as more than 70% of the store's customers purchase four-piece suites. An emphasis on everyday low pricing and on value has also worked to the company's advantage.
