O'Sullivan sales tumble 15.7% in fiscal third qtr.
Article Abstract:
The results of the O'Sullivan Inds. Holdings, which is a parent of flat-pack producer O'Sullivan Furniture, showed a decline of 15.7% in its third fiscal quarter, which ended on March 31, 2004. The net loss for the quarter grew to $8.5 million from $1.1 million in 2003 and the preferred stock charges fell to $3.2 million in 2004 as compared to $3.7 million in 2003.

Sept. factory orders jump 10%; shipments up 1%

According to BDO Seidman survey of factories, United States residential furniture factory orders jumped 10% in September from the same month last year, although shipments rose just 1%.
