Thanksgiving first became an official observance on Nov. 25, 1841 in New England. It is celebrated as a time to thank for the harvest and other blessings and to gather the family together by the sharing of a feast. Some perfect Thanksgiving recipes are presented.

Rokeby and the underground railroad
Article Abstract:
Rokeby in Ferrisburgh, VT, was home to the family of artist and writer Rowland Robinson who was instrumental in the escape of many black slaves. The site is now a rural museum and a National Historic Landmark.
